If you're hired to be a doctor no one would expect the hospital you work in to have you go fix the toilets and do the plumber's job. Yet this is done all the time at Transit. Celinda Guerrero, our personnel office, has this as one of her favorite tricks. If she doesn't like someone they get "temporarily" transferred to clean buses, toilets or work in some area far outside there job description. The union said this would stop with Bruce Rizzieri the new director but the practice is still going on with people being transferred to jobs they weren't hired to do.
There is no question this practice is illegal andmust be stoped. Who in this department will end it and return power the employees who are supposed too be treated differently than we are?
Are last item was sent to us by an anonymous e-mail. We are told that supervisor Danny Gonzales (may or may not be her lover) picks up and takes Annette Paez's kid to school everyday. If its true that may be one of the most illegal job assignments in the department. If its true and Gonzales becomes the assistant operations manager someone could and should sue the city.

Celinda is a horrible person...I heard she wasn't even supposed to get her job, but had somebody pull some strings...She's completely unqualified and she got a dwi, which means she's been operating a city vehicle illegally for the past year.

ReplyDeleteThis is exactly why you should be mad...it's next to impossible to get a city employee fired. Our taxes pay for these "FUCK UPS". Regardless of grammatical errors, If you look beyond the personal hits I feel the author of this post makes quite a few good points. I what is trying to be said is that many of the "toilet duty" appointments are political assailments, rather than punishments for some actual wrong-doing. That is not to say incompetent employees do not exist. In reality, the exact opposite can be said - the city is plagued by morons. However, I could definitely envision Celinda abusing her position as HR director of transit...I know for a fact that she wasn't qualified for the job when she got it. I also know that she can be a very malicious person, so I wouldn't doubt that she would abuse her authority in this manner - either out of spite or out of jealousy.
As for the "taxi" service for "friends of transit" that may be going on: it is wrong. Those people should be fired. If Celinda is, in fact, guilty of operating a city vehicle with a suspended license, she should, too, be fired.
